Cala Murada is a small, quiet resort on the south-east coast of Majorca. He who looks for mass tourism – is in this locality on the right place. Here there are mainly one family houses and villas, of course there is also one or another hotel – but generally it is quiet here. Some restaurants are open the whole year through, as well as the supermarket and the bank. The Cala Murada with the locality of the same name belongs to the municipality Manacor. This part of the coast is famous for its beautiful bays and beaches, so-called “Calas”.

These bays are located on the 6 km of almost intact landscape and they are mostly in a natural state. All these bathing bays are awarded with a blue flag – which is given only to the beaches that are well-maintained and have good water quality. Nearby Cala Murada there are sport ports Cala d´Or, Portocolom and Porto Cristo. But also the big weekly markets in Felanitx and Santanyi you can reach quickly and they are worth seeing. An excursion to the monastery “San Salvador” is very attractive – here you have a dreamlike view over the whole island.
