Information and Situation to Cala Mandia

The town Cala Mandia doesn´t have a place of origin - as it was formed with the growth of tourism by the part of a coast with 3 bays “Calas”. The bay in the middle is the “Cala Mandia”, the southern is the “Cala Romantica” and the northern is the “Cala Anguila”. The 60 meters long and 120 meters wide beach of Cala Mandia has got a fine, white sand and turquoise blue, crystal clear water. On the beach there are deck chairs and parasols rental as well as public showers. Very near there are plenty of parking places. In the locality itself you can buy the most necessary things – if you want to go shopping it would be recommendable to go to Manacor or to Palma.

Worth seeing nearby are above all the “Dragon Caves” in Porto Cristo – the biggest cave system on the island! But also Porto Cristo itself is a charming small locality – in the port there are a few restaurants where they serve terrific food. Of course also Manacor that is the second biggest town after Palma deserves attention and it has a lot to offer. It is always recommendable to have a walk through the small alleys.
